What's missing?

As part of our summer extreme home makeover Ellerbee edition, Jack graciously gave up his room to Josh this summer.

The bigger room.
The room with the cool bed.
The room Josh didn't want to share with Jack in the first place.

The room with the "tornado" TV as it's known as because it was given to us after it flew around in a tornado. We were told, "if you can make it work, you can have it." I love it that my husband is so handy when the rewards are so high.

I have been working feverishly all summer to make Jack's new room into an underwater oasis. I figured the blue would have a calming, peaceful effect on the boy who is often high strung.

The pictures don't really do it justice. The high strungishness of the boy or the beauty of the room. I could just sit in there forever and relax with all the fish floating around.

I found these awesome wall tattoos from Tatouage. It makes for a beautiful, handpainted look. I absolutely love it! It was time consuming, but not difficult to do. As with all things Ellerbee, we went a little overboard.

So what's missing?

Well, the bed that I ordered in July? The loft bed, trundle, desk extravaganza? That was supposed to be in early August? That finally showed up last week? In Cinnamon instead of Pine? Missing the most important box with the directions and hardware to put it together?

Yep that's it.

Except we didn't discover this fact until we had already torn into the boxes, excited to be done with this adventure. So now we have a cinnamon loftbed that can't be put together.

And so now...

There are loftbed remains all over my house. It's like there was a furniture massacre right in the middle of my living room. We are tripping over the trundle. We are stepping around the dresser part.

If you know me at all, you will know that this sort of chaos drives me absolutely insane. I cannot tolerate things being out of order. But alas, I must.

Clearly, there is nothing we can do about it. I don't risk putting the bed in the garage where someone will surely ride their bikes into it or lose part of it.

And so we are still waiting for what's missing. Anxiously.
