Somebody got new glasses....

Jameson got her new glasses!
Doesn't she look so adorable?
We went back to the eye doctor and got her eyes checked AGAIN. She is officially far-sighted. (At least at this appointment.)
She has severe focusing spasms where her eyes start spasming after attempting to focus for any amount of time.
Hopefully her glasses will reduce how hard she's been working to see.
We are hoping this is the first step of many to make school easier for her.

I stole this info from a flyer at the Vision Enhancement Clinic, and I wanted to share it with you.
I was shocked to find that 1 out of 4 children struggle with reading and learning because of undiagnosed vision problems.

Symptoms of learning-related vision problems include:
  • frequent loss of place when reading
  • confuses similar looking words
  • poor reading comprehension
  • sloppy handwriting
  • failure to recognize to same word in next sentence
  • complains of eyes hurting or headaches after reading
  • avoidance of close work such as reading
  • attention problems

I'm sad to say Jameson has all of these symptoms except the sloppy handwriting.

Oh how that girl loves handwriting.

I am so grateful that we have been put in the path of so many people who knew "so and so" who knew "so and so" etc who have made this journey with Jameson so much easier. Thank you Melissa and Angelique!

Jameson looks great in her new glasses, right in time for a new school year. Looking forward to hearing about her school successes with the glasses in the near future! Jameson can learn and understand more about her eyes at the VSP Kid’s Zone: bit.ly/L1Ua6

Jameson look very studious and professional in her new glasses. I love the black and white photo she should be on a magazine cover. I have put Jameson on prayer list for a healing. So glad she is homeschooled, many are not caught in public school. And a mom with perservance, love and getting to the bottom of this. Love and Hugs, mom

I meant to tell her the other night at the soccer meeting how much I love her new glasses!
