Winter Solstice

Does it feel like it's been the shortest day of the year?

Today is the Winter Solstice, the official start of winter in the northern hemisphere.

It is officially the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

During the Winter Solstice because of the earth's tilt, the northern hemisphere receives less direct sunlight.

Fear not, my winter fearing friends, starting tomorrow, the days will begin to lengthen again and the nights will become shorter.

But around here, it's certainly felt like the longest day of the year.

I awoke to a cacophony of muffled coughs and sniffles. Several hacking away at many different octaves; some dry and hacking, others moist and chunky.

Merry Christmas and pass the Kleenex!

I sure hope everyone is feeling better soon! It stinks to be sick at Christmas time!

Oh, and you really should let me know when you're in KC! We could meet up for lunch for something!
