Jordan and I just spent 3 glorious days in our nation's capital. This is a picture of us at the White House. We didn't get a tour... as you have to arrange that through your congressman 6 months in advance... no wonder they don't get anything done in the Congress.
This is a picture we took of the White House from Pennsylvania Avenue... except there are no cars allowed to pass through Pennsylvania Ave anymore. The roads are blocked and there are guards to keep you on the sidewalk. It looked totally different than the Washington DC I saw nearly 20 years ago. All around the monuments, there were extra fences and barriers. It was still beautiful and awe inspiring, but definitely different.
